  1. Next pick five sentences from step 1 and list them here.
  2. Convert these sentences into song lines, which rhyme. Rhyming is not required but will make it easier.
  3. Put them together into a song. Decided the rhythm and melody of your song. If you want to can steal from an existing song.
  4. To begin designing you’re the movement of your concert, list our 5 daily movements. For example, drinking tea.
  5. Take these daily movements and break them down into three distinct movements.
  6. stretch these movement sequences until an audience could no longer identify the original daily movement which inspired them.
  7. next select 5 objects from your surroundings.
  8. create a 3-movement sequence for each object which abstracts the object. The idea is to get as far away from the typical use of the object without turning it into a different object. For example, if you select a banana, don’t just turn it into a phone but find a way to make it an abstract object through movement.
  9. Put all 5 different movement sequences together into a dance. Keep in mind you will be performing this while singing.
  10. Go back to step 1 and select 10 sentences that appeal to you. From these sentences write a monologue.
  11. Put your 5-object movement sequences together with your monologue. Decide when in the monologue you will perform each movement.
  12. Combine your song and daily dance with your monologue and 5-object movements.
  13. Decide what your costume will be.
  14. Find someone who will let you perform in their home.
  15. Ask a friend to film your concert. Ask them to film as much of the interaction and travel to and from the concert as possible. The more they film the more material you will have for the next step.
  16. Perform your concert.
  17. Edit the video into a music video. Do not try to reproduce the experience of the live concert.
  18. Share it with the world. Tag #WhatCanTheatreDo #DASTheatre @das.theatre
